Mr. Atas comes from a family of lawyers that has started from his Uncle Charles Atas who practiced law for 60 years, to his son Erik Atas and his Daughter in law Laura Atas. Marc Atas started to practice law in 1980.
Originally Marc Atas clerked for a boutique law firm and eventually went from clerk, to associate attorney and finally to partner. While working at that firm, I headed up their Workers Compensation department, and also handled auto accident, DWI, real estate and domestic cases.

After 9 years polishing my services at the boutique firm, I decided to open up my own office, The Law Office of Marc J. Atas. For 27 years, I worked tirelessly as the only lawyer providing personal services to each client. In 2017, I decided to merge my office and become the Law Office of Marc J. Atas And Associates, adding 2 new lawyers who are available to provide excellent legal services.

Mr. Atas graduated with honors of Cum Laude from the University OF Baltimore School of Law in 1980. During his Time at the University of Baltimore School of Law he was awarded membership in the prestigious Heuisler Honor Society a reward to students of the law school who have high and outstanding grades in recognition of his ability, application and scholarship. In additional he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Book award for excellent achievement in studies in the areas of debtor creditor relations and commercial transactions.

Mr. Atas grew up in Baltimore. He was a varsity athlete at Randallstown High School.
